We begin our 3-day Sahara Desert tours journey from the city of Marrakech, where we will pick you up from your hotel in the morning.\u00a0 As we make our way through the High Atlas Mountains via the spectacular Tizi n Tichka pass, marvel at the stunning landscape of rugged beauty and the picturesque Berber villages \u2013 get your cameras ready!\u00a0 And if the friendly village children wave at you, remember to wave back.<\/p>

We head towards Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has been the filming backdrop for Hollywood movies such as Gladiator, which won the 73rd Academy Award for Best Picture, and the fantasy TV series Game of Thrones.<\/p>

After the visit, we proceed to lunch before resuming our journey towards Ouarzazate, passing through the Valley of Roses along the way to the Dades Valley, where the landscape is filled with unique rock formations.<\/p>

Upon arrival at the Dades Valley, we will have dinner and spend the night at the riad.\u00a0 Riad, an Arabic word that means \u201cgardens\u201d in English, nowadays <\/span>is usually a traditional guesthouse constructed around one central courtyard<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>

In the morning, we will make our way towards Merzouga, the gateway to Erg Chebbi where the fiery orange sand dunes of the Sahara Desert await.\u00a0 On route, we will travel through the town of Tinghir to visit the Todra Gorge, which is known to be one of the most spectacular canyons around the world.<\/p>

After the visit, we proceed to Tinejdad for lunch.\u00a0 We then continue to make our way through the Tafilalt region, the largest Saharan oasis of Morocco, and the town of Erfoud before arriving at Merzouga.<\/p>

Upon arrival at Merzouga, we will store our luggage at a local hotel and leave our modern transport to become the true explorers traversing the Erg Chebbi sand dunes on camel backs to arrive at our camp site.\u00a0 Here, we will sit on the sand dunes to admire the beautiful sunset \u2013 but this is not yet the end as the night is about to begin.<\/p>

At night, we will enjoy dinner at our camp site by the campfire with drumming music, songs, laughter, and most of all, be mesmerized by the stars before retiring for the night in your Berber\u00a0tent.<\/p>

Wake up an hour early to live an hour more \u2013 we encourage you to rise early to witness the sunrise over the Sahara and welcome a new day of adventure.<\/p>

After breakfast, we will depart from the desert on our camels and return to the hotel at Merzouga to meet our driver.\u00a0 We continue our journey via Tazarine and have lunch at the town of Nkob, which is surrounded by Saghrou Mountains.<\/p>

After lunch, we will drive through the beautiful ribbon of water of the Draa Valley and the Tizi n Tichka pass at Ait Saouen to arrive at Ouarzazate.\u00a0 From here, we return to Marrakech via the Atlas Mountains and Tizi n Tichka pass, giving you another chance to feast your eyes on the dramatic landscape.<\/p>

On arrival at Marrakech, we will drop you off at your hotel and hope we will have the opportunity again to show you more of Morocco the next time.<\/p>
