We begin our 4-day journey from the city of Marrakech, where we will pick you up from your hotel in the morning with our private transport.\u00a0 As we make our way through the High Atlas Mountains via the spectacular Tizi n Tichka pass, marvel at the stunning landscape of rugged beauty and the picturesque Berber villages \u2013 get your cameras ready!\u00a0 And if the friendly village children wave at you, remember to wave back.<\/p>

We then head towards the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has been the filming backdrop for Hollywood movies such as Gladiator, which won Academy Award for Best Picture once, and the fantasy TV series Game of Thrones.<\/p>

After the visit, we proceed to lunch before resuming our journey towards Ouarzazate, passing through the Valley of Roses along the way to the Dades Valley.<\/p>

Upon arrival at the Dades Valley, we will have dinner and spend the night at the riad.\u00a0 Riad, an Arabic word that means \u201cgardens\u201d, nowadays <\/span>is usually a traditional guesthouse constructed around one central courtyard<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>

In the morning we will make our way towards Merzouga, the gateway to Erg Chebbi where the fiery orange sand dunes of the Sahara Desert await.\u00a0 On route, we will travel through the town of Tinghir to visit the Todra Gorge, which is known to be one of the most spectacular canyons around the world.\u00a0 After the visit, we proceed to lunch before going onwards to Erfoud.<\/p>

At Erfoud, we will visit a local fossil craft workshop and head to Merzouga thereafter.\u00a0 Upon arrival at Merzouga, we will store our luggage at a local hotel and leave our modern transport to become true explorers traversing the Erg Chebbi sand dunes on camel backs to arrive at our camp site.\u00a0 Here, we will sit on the sand dunes to admire the beautiful sunset \u2013 but this is not yet the end as the night is about to begin.<\/p>

At our camp site, we will enjoy our dinner by the fire with drumming music, songs, laughter, and most of all, be mesmerized by the stars before retiring for the night in your Berber tent.<\/p>

Wake up an hour early to live an hour more \u2013 we encourage you to rise early to witness sunrise over the Sahara and welcome a new day of adventure.\u00a0 After breakfast, we will depart from the desert on our camels and return to meet our driver and start our journey.<\/p>

After freshening up, we will travel along the Erg Chebbi to see the giant sand dunes that resemble pyramids.\u00a0 From here, we travel to the Tissardmin, which is rich in fossils and has a varied landscape of mountains ranges, deserts, and sandy dunes.<\/p>

We continue our journey passing by desert nomadic settlements, where you will have the opportunity to learn about their life in the desert.\u00a0 We will also make a stop to take in the view of the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi before arriving at Khamlia Village, which is also known as Gnawa Village, and is famous for its indigenous dark-skinned inhabitants and authentic music known as “Gnawa music”.<\/p>

At Gnawa Village, we will be treated to a performance of the enchanting Gnawa\u2019s music before heading back to the hotel.\u00a0 You will have the afternoon free to explore Merzouga at leisure.\u00a0 At night, we will stay at Merzouga with dinner at the hotel.<\/p>

In the morning, we will drive towards Fes.\u00a0 We will travel through Erfoud, Aoufous and the Ziz Valley in Errachidia to the mineral mining town of Midelt for lunch.<\/p>

After lunch, we will drive through the cedar forest of Azrou and stop to play with the friendly Barbary Apes.\u00a0 We then continue to make our way through the Middle Atlas Mountains before arriving at Ifrane to experience the Moroccan Switzerland.<\/p>

We then conclude the memorable trip at the city of Fes, where we will drop you off at your hotel or riad and hope we will have the opportunity again to show you more of Morocco the next time.<\/p>
