Your Itinerary
Day 1: Casablanca
Welcome to Morocco! We will pick you up at the airport upon your arrival in Casablanca and transfer you to your hotel. (NB. Hotel check-in is usually at any time after 3pm)
We will update you on your upcoming trip activities during the hotel transfer. You will have the rest of the day free to explore Casablanca at your own leisure or rest.

Day 2: Casablanca – Tangier
In the morning, we will start our tour of Casablanca to visit various places like the Marché Centrale (the central market), Mohamed V Square, the residential area of Anfa and La Corniche.
The highlight of our Casablanca tour will no doubt be the visit of the majestic Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Africa that is located by the Atlantic Ocean. Unlike most mosques in Morocco, Hassan II Mosque allows visitors of all faith an opportunity to enter and visit respectfully. Admire the intricate architecture, watch the sunlight stream in through the windows and feel the sense of peace within.
After lunch, we will make our way to Tangier – the port and principal city of northern Morocco, where we will stay overnight.

Day 3: Tangier – Chefchaouen
We will begin our day by doing a city tour to show you around Tangier and some of the must-see places like its beautiful Medina. Thereafter, you will have some free time that you can consider visiting places like the Caves of Hercules or one of the museums at your own expense and leisure.
After lunch, we will drive to the famous blue city of Chefchaouen and stay overnight.

Day 4: Chefchaouen
In the morning, we will set off on a walking tour of Chefchaouen to explore the beautiful blue washed town. During the tour, we will also pass by various sights and architecture, such as the Grande Mosque – built for Moulay Abdeslam Ben Mchich Alami, the son of the city’s founder and the ruins of the Spanish Mosque.
After the walking tour, you will have some free time to explore Chefchaouen by yourself – notice the colorful flowerpots standing proudly against the wall of blue, the nonchalant cats sitting on the steps and the local kids playing in the alley. We are certain you will take many Instagram worthy pictures!

Day 5: Chefchaouen – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes
After breakfast, we depart Chefchaouen and head towards Fes.
On our way, we will visit Meknes. We will see the famous Bab Mansour that is known to be one of the most beautiful gates in Morocco and have a chance to walk around the El-Hedim Square, where there are various stores selling traditional handicrafts, cafes and not forgetting the street performers like snake charmer.
After Mekens visit, we head to the UNESCO World Heritage site at Volubilis, where the best preserved Roman archaeological site in Morocco is located. Look out for the remains of the mosaics and imagine the glorious Roman past as you walk through the site.
Thereafter, we continue to make our way to Fes where we will stay overnight.

Day 6: Fes
Today we will spend the day exploring the city of Fes. The highlight of our Fes visit will undoubtedly be our walking tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site – the Medina of Fes, which is still very much an integral part of the everyday life of the people of Fes. You will be guided through the maze of narrow walkways and alleys with shops on both sides, ranging from fruit sellers to barber shops and many more. You may even run into a donkey or two going about their goods delivery rounds as you navigate your way through the Medina!
After lunch at a traditional restaurant in the medina, we will cross under the elaborate Bab Bou Jeloud (the Blue Gate) to visit Fes el-Jdid or New Fes, which was established in 1276 by the Marinid dynasty.
As part of the walking tour, we will also visit the leather tanneries of Fes, learn more about the traditional treatment and dyeing process which have been passed down for centuries. Other stops of interest within the Medina include the Bou Inania Madrasa, where you can admire the beautiful Marinid architecture of the building and its minaret, the Dar Batha Museum, which is housed in the former summer Batha Palace, as well as the Jewish quarter of Bab Mellah, which offers a glimpse into the life of the Jewish people.

Day 7: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi
In the morning we will make our way towards Merzouga, the gateway to Erg Chebbi where the fiery orange sand dunes of the Sahara Desert await. We will make a stop at Ifrane to experience the Moroccan Switzerland before continuing our way through the Middle Atlas Mountains. We will drive through the cedar forest of Azrou and stop to play with the friendly Barbary Apes before arriving at the mineral mining town of Midelt for lunch.
After lunch, we head to Merzouga. Upon arrival, we will store our luggage and leave our modern transport to become true explorers traversing the Erg Chebbi sand dunes on camel backs to arrive at our campsite. Here, we will sit on the sand dunes to admire the beautiful sunset – but this is not yet the end as the night is about to begin.
At night, we will enjoy dinner at our campsite by the fire with drumming music, songs, laughter, and most of all, be mesmerized by the stars before retiring for the night in your Berber tent.

Day 8: Erg Chebbi – Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
Wake up an hour early to live an hour more – we encourage you to rise early to witness sunrise over the Sahara and welcome a new day of adventure.
After breakfast, we will depart from the desert on our camels and return to the hotel at Merzouga for a shower. We then make our way to Rissani to visit the souk (market) to see what it has to offer, from carpets to leatherware and even fossils!
After the souk visit, we continue our drive through the Tafilalet region, the largest Saharan oasis of Morocco. We will explore the Todra Gorge on foot after lunch, which is known to be one of the most spectacular canyons around the world. We then make our way to the Dades Valley, where the landscape is filled with unique rock formation.
Upon arrival at Dades Valley, we will have dinner and spend the night at the riad. Riad, an Arabic word that means “gardens”, nowadays is usually a traditional guesthouse constructed around one central courtyard.

Day 9: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate
In the morning, we will take a leisurely trek through the canyon where you can immerse yourself in nature and feel its harmony, as well as observe the everyday life of the locals as we make our way through the lush green forest with its gentle flowing streams.
We will enjoy our lunch near the river before driving towards Ouarzazate. On our way, we will visit Skoura to admire its beautiful oasis. We will spend the night at Ouarzazate at the riad.

Day 10: Ouarzazate – Marrakech
In the morning, we will visit Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has been the filming backdrop for Hollywood movies such as Gladiator, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture once, and the fantasy TV series Game of Thrones. After the visit, we proceed to lunch before resuming our journey towards Marrakech.
After lunch we return to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains and the spectacular Tizi n Tichka pass, marvel at the stunning landscape of rugged beauty and the picturesque Berber villages.
On arrival at Marrakech, we will drop you off at your hotel.

Day 11: Marrakech
Today we will explore the city of Marrakech to see what it has to offer. We will stop by must-see sites such as Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, Menara Gardens and Majorelle Garden to learn more about the history, significance and architecture of these places.
In the afternoon, we head to the famous Jemaa El-Fna square and the medina, where you will have time to browse through handcrafted souvenirs. Get ready to be dazzled by the colourful wares of the friendly shop keepers, ranging from the spices to fresh produce and Moroccan slippers.
Thereafter we will return to the hotel and rest for the night.
Optional (at own expense – arrange by request): Treat yourself to a hammam experience at Les Bains de Marrakech where you can enjoy VIP treatment including steam room (45 min) and a 30 min relaxing massage.

Day 12: Marrakech – Essaouira – Marrakech
We will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and drive to the beautiful and relaxing seaside town of Essaouira. On the way, we will pass by argan plantations – watch out for goats perching on branches of argan trees feasting on argan berries!
At Essaouria, you can take your time to explore the bustling medina, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take a stroll along the vibrant fishing port and have a look around the 18th century ramparts – Skala de la Kasbah. Feel the sea breeze as you watch the fishermen returning in their colorful blue boats filled with fresh daily catch.
We will drive back to Marrakech in the afternoon to return to your hotel.

Day 13: Marrakech – Ouzoud – Marrakech
Today we will travel towards the Berber village of Ouzoud. Our trip today will be a relaxing one as we will be close to nature. We will visit the Ouzoud waterfalls, which has water plunging down from a 100-meter (328-foot) height.
You can enjoy your time resting by the water or go on a short tour by taking one of the small boats (at own expense). You will also get to see the macaque monkeys in their natural habitat. We will enjoy the panoramic views of this place during our lunch before we head back to Marrakech in the afternoon.
