Travel from Marrakech to Fes the scenic way, through the Sahara. The High Atlas, kasbahs and gorges, a sunset camel ride and a night at a desert camp in Erg Chebbi, then north through the Middle Atlas to Fes. Join the shared tour, or contact us for a private departure.
Day 1 Marrakech to Dades Valley. Hotel or riad pickup, then across the High Atlas via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Visit the UNESCO-listed kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, continue through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses. Overnight in the Dades Valley. Dinner included.
Day 2 Dades Valley to Merzouga. Walk through the Todra Gorge, then through the Tafilalet oasis to Merzouga. Camel ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset, then dinner, drumming and stargazing at the desert camp. Breakfast and dinner included.
Day 3 Merzouga to Fes. Sunrise over the dunes, then north through the Ziz Valley, Midelt, the cedar forest of Azrou (wild Barbary macaques) and Ifrane. Drop-off at your hotel or riad in Fes. Breakfast included.
