Start on the Atlantic at the Hassan II Mosque and finish in Marrakech. Rabat, a full guided day in the medina of Fes, a camel ride and night in the Sahara, then the Todra Gorge, the Dades Valley and the High Atlas.
Day 1 Casablanca to Fes via Rabat. Pickup in Casablanca and a visit to the Hassan II Mosque on the Atlantic, one of the largest mosques in the world. Drive to Rabat for the Mohammed V Mausoleum and the Hassan Tower, then on to Fes for the night.
Day 2 Guided day in Fes. Views from the Borj Sud fortress, a pottery and mosaic cooperative, the Royal Palace gates and the Jnan Sbil Gardens. Walking tour of the UNESCO medina: the tanneries, the Bou Inania Madrasa and the Mellah. Breakfast included.
Day 3 Fes to Merzouga. Ifrane and the cedar forest of Azrou (wild Barbary macaques), lunch stop in Midelt, then Merzouga. Camel ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset, then dinner and campfire at the desert camp. Breakfast and dinner included.
Day 4 Merzouga to Dades Valley. Sunrise over the dunes, then the Rissani souk and the Tafilalet oasis. Walk through the Todra Gorge, then on to the Dades Valley. Breakfast and dinner included.
Day 5 Dades Valley to Marrakech. Through the Valley of Roses to the UNESCO-listed kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, then across the High Atlas via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Drop-off at your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Breakfast included.
